Our research group is in the Department of Medicine - Division of General Internal Medicine (Hopkins GIM) and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. We have affiliations with the Hopkins GIM - Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS) Section, Department of Computer Science, and Department of Health Policy and Management. We are also members of the Institute for Computational Medicine and the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare at Hopkins.

Prospective PhD Applicants

If you are interested in working with us as a PhD student, please send Dr. Taylor an email. State briefly why you are interested and attach a CV, including information about the grades you had as an undergraduate. No need for a separate cover letter or certificates.

Prospective Undergraduate Researchers

If you are and undergraduate student interested in working part-time, please apply by email with a CV and a personal statement describing what research specifically interests you.

We expect that most research experiences in the group will lead to an independent project before graduation.

For the best consideration, applicants should be:

  • Freshmen or sophomores that are willing to intern, apply for summer scholarships, and perform research for credit.
  • Be able to work at least 12 hours per week during the academic year.
  • Be able to work full-time for one or more summers.
  • Willing to continue in the group for the remainder of their time at Johns Hopkins University.
